This experiment is about a very sad memory for me. At my 18th bar mitzvah, just because of a thoughtlessly rude comment about my dress, my mother felt shame and disgrace for me. And she remember those words for many years.

The blue yarn is very much like the dresses I wore at the time.
I used some of my annoyance to cut it into pieces, which was a repeat of the unpleasantness my mother used to feel.
I tried to put the pieces back together again, but it was almost impossible to do so. It represented that the damage that had been done would be very difficult to repair completely again.
The pins had thin threads hanging from them that could fall off at any time, and they represented the thoughtless words of others.
The pin is pinned to the paper to symbolise that these thoughtless words may sting and leave a deep impact on others.
